buying what i don’t need but want

Occasionally, I splurge on things, even though I tell myself to stay true to simple living. I can’t help it, I am a woman after all and the need to shop, eat chocolate, pamper my self as well as appreciation the finer things in life is part of my make up. So,  I put splurge happily and very carefully.

This month, being my favorite, I have decided to shop and perhaps splurge on:

travel photography: oahu, hawaii

There isn’t too much to do, in my opinion on Oahu, outside of the tourist sites and shopping, so the only other hobby one can enjoy is definitely photography. The funny thing is, I walked in and out of a dozen wall art stores and wondered how the photographers painted photos with extreme colors. Meaning, I felt most of the photographs were color enhanced.

Last night, while I walked back from the pre-wedding dinner get together, along the beach, back to my hotel, I actually were able to capture photographs, with seemingly enhanced colors. I didn’t touch up any of my photos, but was proud that I was able to capture, such colorful photography.

photography: sex appeal

Don’t you sometimes flip through a magazine or a website and stop when you see the most beautifully photographed woman and wish you could just look like that or in my case, even pose like that for a photograph?

bus stop photography

Normally, while I wait for the bus, I stand and look around to keep myself busy. But not this morning, I decided, the images before my eyes were worth capturing on my Iphone 4s.

inspired by nostalgia

Photographs are probably the most inspirational medium known to mankind to and often times a great way to reflect, reminisce and remind. With that said, occasionally, I find photographs online, which touch me to a point; I have to share them with anyone who understands where I am coming from.

Pictures do tell a thousand words and here are mine.

signs of spring in san francisco

The last few days have been pleasantly warm and sunny around San Francisco and as I walked through the city during my lunch hour, I realized, slowly but surely the signs of Spring near by.

nostalgic for picture perfect winter

Since I live in San Francisco  and seldom go up to Lake Tahoe, I have to say I am nostalgic for what I creatively refer to as picture perfect winter days. You know the kind that looks amazing in photos but not so amazing when you live through it.  That kind and just incase you don’t know what I am talking about, please see below :)

photography: night views of san francisco

I dont’ think I’ve voiced enough lately how much I love the city I live in. San Francisco is probably one of the most beautiful cities in the world, providing there is no fog of course. So, I was glad when I found these photos here and posted them on my blog for not only my viewing pleasure, but yours as well. Enjoy :)

in search of fall colors: a walk through napa

As I stated before I have fallen in love with Autumn and feel it is probably the most romantic time of the year and wish there were enough trees planted throughout the city of San Francisco to get a glimpse of the leaves changing color.   But since that’s not an option, I usually take a day trip to Napa in the Fall to get a glimpse of some of the most breath taking scenery.
