I can’t help but, like everyone else, notice everything Christmas, everywhere I go and during this time of year, it’s really difficult to think about anything else.
Although I have an eclectic taste in decor, I do prefer a modern work desk for my office space and so while I contemplate a change, here are some ideas I am considering to draw from while I create my own modern work space.
I crave for an in-home office space of my own just so I could lock the outside world out while I work on my novel and postings for my blogs. I never realized how important the space was until I sold my home a few years back.
Nonetheless, while I strive towards having my very own in-home office (again), I have begun to compile photos of my favorites to incorporate into my very own style.
I do believe that a creative writers space should be warm, inviting, colorful, comfortable, inspiring and as unique and different from the rest of the house as possible. The room should give you a sense of escape from the uniformity of every day life and traditional office spaces both in the home and at work and should be one, which can only be used by you.

Exactly! Like I said before I wish I could have the luxury to change my interior decor every time I saw something I liked, but since that is impossible or unrealistic, I can only post my favorites on my blog to pay homage to the creative individuals with the perfect vision to make it all come together.
What I love is….
Since I spend all my spare time writing, whether it be my blog or the finishing touches of my book, I am always looking for ways to get inspired. Normally or until now, my desk is in front of a window overlooking the ocean, but lately I have considered creating an inspirational wall and having my desk face that wall.
Here is one I think would be interesting to duplicate with minor changes. The art pieces or photographs would be of Paris from the 19th century, I would incorporate my favorite quotes in frames along the edge of the desk and the chair would be reclining comfy.
Wow, that was a tough first week, getting back into the swing of things after the holiday celebrations. But for some strange reason once I packed my christmas tree away on Sunday, my brain kicked into gear and I began outlining what I foresee the new year would be like in my life or household.
One thingI realized is thatI haven’t talked much about interior decor. I guess since I am always wanting to change my decor around, I decided it was best to stop looking for a while. But the urge to redecorate is back and I can’t help but look for options once again.
Here are some ideas I found here, which I couldn’t help but fall in love with. I know there is a bit of a safari feel to my latest decor love, but I think it’s the exotic feel to the rooms that captured my interest the most.
The countdown begins, in my opinion, since it is officially one week to Thanksgiving. While I contemplate the menu for this year’s feast with family, I am also searching for table setting inspiration. I usually shift gears and turn to country themed settings because of the occasion and choose, probably like everyone else, autumn colors to set the right mood.
I found some ideas here that are pretty easy and not over the top, so I am going to draw my table setting from a combination of the photographs I have included below. What theme are you going with?
