multitasking inside my head

I don’t need to remind anyone, that women multi-task on a second to second basis. While sitting at their desks at work, shuffling paper, their multitasking inside their heads. From what to make for dinner, to coordinating how the week would unfold. Children, homework, housework, husbands, get togethers, doctor’s appointments, grocery list, project deadlines, laundry, meetings, telephone calls and even vacation planning.

So, for this week, these are the thoughts going through my head:

Adding the finishing touches on my book to publish

Putting together the menu for Easter Sunday breakfast for family

Delivering Tulips to my mother for Easter

Coordinating a destination wedding family reunion

Organizing new bedding, mattress and furniture delivery

Finding the perfect dress for two Summer destination weddings

    

 

paris on my mind

Right about now, oh who am I kidding, all the time, I think about Paris and how I see myself living there, six months out of a year to full-time at retirement. It’s not a dream, it’s something I am definitely pursuing. You know what they say, if you put it out there, it will happen.  But, in the meantime, have a great weekend:

I woke up this morning with a sudden need to travel somewhere, even if only for the weekend. I guess it’s that time of the year again, when I get the travel bug and no matter what I shift my focus on, I remain distracted until I finally organize a holiday getaway of some sort.

Baccara Resort and Spa is a place I’ve been to, twice. Once for a wedding and the other, just to run away. I had forgotten about the destination until I scanned my memory for quick get-away places from San Francisco and lucky for me, I remembered.

The hotel is sprawled on the sandy beaches of the Pacific Ocean, in the middle of California, very close to the town of Santa Barbara and offers some of the most prestiges   resort and spa amenities one would need to get their bearings back.

Photographs are probably the most inspirational medium known to mankind to and often times a great way to reflect, reminisce and remind. With that said, occasionally, I find photographs online, which touch me to a point; I have to share them with anyone who understands where I am coming from.

boutique hotel pick – la bellechasse – paris, france

During the rainy and gray Fall days, all I can think of is colors in decor and focus mainly on escaping somewhere warm and cozy, even if only for a weekend.

Although Paris is approximately 12hours away from where I reside currently, I cannot help but search for colorful and extraordinary boutique hotels which fit my mood.  La Bellechasse fits that very exact feeling.  Check out the bedrooms below:

my silent movie: a special day of celebration

I love analyzing photos and putting my own interpretation of them into play. So, if someone where to ask me today, on my special day, how would I see it pan out. I would have to say like this:

With age comes a certain appreciation for the color black (in fashion that is)  and so with that fact, I cannot state enough how much I adore these gowns and black dresses:

what a difference 20 years makes

Being a part of the over 40 crowd, I tend to, like others in my league, occasionally analyze whoI am now when I interact with the 20something crowd. Don’t ask, it’s a woman thing.

To sum up where I am going with this, I have included two photos which best showcase what I was  like as a person in my twenties (left) and how I see myself now over 40 (Right).  And to be honest with you, I like me now the best What do you think about yourself, do you prefer your twenties or your forties?
